Craig Gravatte’s Highlights of 2022 Are….

Personally:

As a kid growing up in St. Louis I have always been a Cardinal Fan. So, my Best of 2022 has to be the St. Louis Cardinals.

  • We had the return of Albert
  • We had the Pujo, Waino & Yadi tour
  • Goldschmidt won the MVP
  • Pujols surpassed the 700 home run mark after no one thought he could obtain it
  • Nolan Arenado was named MLB Player of the Month *FIVE* times, he won another Platinum Glove and won The Silver Slugger Award

Did we get another World Series trophy or make it very far in the playoffs? Sadly no, but what a year for this team and this city. There was magic in the air and a feeling around the city of World Series Dreams. With what has happened over the past few years in this world….I’ll take that memory/feeling and make it my best of 2022.

SLP:

  • Started traveling again in early 2022…FINALLY!
  • Attended Lightfair again…after a cancellation in 2020 and a VERY small show in New York in 2021, it was nice to see the industry tradition continue, albeit smaller than before COVID. It was also good to see many old friends.
  • Finally, on November 29th, I celebrated my 23rd year at SLP. A heck of a milestone in today’s world and I am still glad to be on this team with people I consider family and thankful for all the people I have met via this job.
