Conduit:
- Access to the luminaire is required to hardwire – higher probability for warranty returns
- Typical conduit connection is prone to condensation creep into the luminaire
- Higher cost to make junction box connection to luminaire water tight
- Permanent hardwired – not easily moved
- Conduit wired connection electrical installation more expensive
Cord Grip:
- Luminaire quality maintained – no access required to enter the fixture to wire minimizing problems for OEM returns
- Lower cost to make connection to luminaire water tight
- Plug wired connection – easily moved
- Simplifies maintenance or replacement
- Offline cleaning in demanding environments
