Best of 2021: The Citadel Round

Continuing with our December theme of SLP’s “Best of 2021”, today we are focusing on the launch of the Citadel Round (CTR).

The Citadel Round actually launched in early 2020, right in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic. As such, it was difficult to make any initial traction with it due to the poor timing. As things improved in 2021, SLP decided to “re-launch” the CTR.

The Citadel Round is essentially a combination of our Citadel enclosure line’s best features, but in a smaller, round form factor for tight areas requiring LED illumination. The typical latches are replaced with the new Pinsert™System, giving it a super sleek and clean look.

Like most Citadel enclosures, the CTR housing consists of UL 5VA fiberglass with an f1 rating. It also boasts IP (water ingress) protections of IP65, IP66, IP67 and IP69 due to its pour-in-place gasket. The CTR also has the same familiar clear and frosted acrylic and polycarbonate lens options.

LED boards for the Citadel Round are available from two companies we have partnered with to produce round format LED boards for this fixture: Fulham and LumaSmart.
